BearBell Privacy Policy

BearBell is an offline utility app. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data to our servers because BearBell has no backend.
Summary
BearBell runs entirely on your device. Settings and session stats stay on your phone.
Data the app uses on your device
Accelerometer (motion) — detect walking motion to trigger bell sounds. Does not leave your device. Device audio output — play bell sounds. Vibration (haptics) — optional feedback on ring. Local settings — bell type, volume, sensitivity, and timer stored via on-device storage.
Data we do not collect
No account or login. No analytics or advertising SDKs. No crash reporting services. No location or GPS tracking. No photos, contacts, or microphone recording. No data sold to third parties.
Permissions
Accelerometer/motion is required to detect your walking motion while the bell is active. Background audio keeps the bell running when the screen locks. Vibration is optional haptic feedback when the bell rings. BearBell does not record audio and does not request microphone access.
Children's privacy
BearBell is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Changes
We may update this policy when the app changes. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version.
Publisher and your rights
BearBell is published by Matthieu Brousse, a private person trading as Canopy Studio. The publisher is the controller for any personal data you send us, for example in a support email. Support emails reach our mailbox at Gmail; the website privacy policy says who receives them and where. Contact details: legal notice.
You can ask to access, correct or delete that data. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
